Add a sub-process

A sub-process is a task that contains its own mini-process inside. From the outside it looks like a single step. From the inside, it's a complete flow.

The claim assessment work (reviewing policy, assessing damage, calculating payout, getting approval) is a natural group. Let's wrap it.

How to add a sub-process

  • Find the sub-process shape in the palette — it looks like a rectangle with a small [+] marker at the bottom
  • Drag it onto the canvas, somewhere below the existing tasks (we'll rearrange later)
  • Make it large enough to hold several tasks — about 400×200 pixels
  • Name it "Assess and approve claim"

> 💡 Sub-processes can be expanded (you see the internals) or collapsed (just the named box with a + marker). We'll start expanded.
